Center for Biological Sciences and Biotechnology

This relatively newer center is currently involved in a number of research projects, apart from providing extensive training to young researchers. We offer free training to four qualified, promising and enthusiastic future leaders every year.


The center currently has four patent pending inventions that revolve around the following themes


Receptor-ligand interactions and development of tools that capture intermolecular interactions

Development of sensors for alcohols in commercial samples

Development of field based sensors for detection of chromium

Studies on Phytoremediation of contaminated sites with specific reference to enhancing the performance of key species capable of removing heavy metals
