Enhanced detection of Acetic acid
A step closer to arresting potential contamination in bioprocess industries
Center for Biology and Biotechnology has invented a new methodology for enhanced detected of acetic acid. Led by Dr Sreenath Subrahmanyam, director of the Institute, the team achieved direct transfer of signal to the interface using a novel microbial immobilization technique. The team is filing a patent in December 2019 after analyzing all the commercial samples. This work is extremely helpful for analysis of acetic acid in commercial settings and greatly help in analysing contaminants.
