PhD Student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
My name is Ashok Vardhan Raja, a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University under prof. Jiawei Yuan. I am originally from Chennai, India. I did my undergraduate in Software Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Indiana. After I finished my undergraduate, I wanted to explore more in Computer-Software field and decided to do my Masters in Cybersecurity Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. During my Master's program, my passion for research in the areas of Cybersecurity, Machine Learning grew. New problems excite me and motivate me to find cutting edge solutions in the Cybersecurity and Machine learning field. I did my Masters thesis in the above-mentioned area and as a testament to the research work, the results got published in AIAA and IEEE journal and conference papers. Every day what drives me is the results obtained from experiments. During this process, I learn about new and interesting areas which lie outside the scope of my research area. Apart from research and academics, I like music – I am trained in Indian classical singing, reading books, swimming and watch movies. I am currently keeping my options open for the future (being in academia or work as a researcher in a company) as I enjoy this journey of conducting research and discovering something new

Senior at Thomas Jefferson High School
I am a senior in high school, currently studying at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, otherwise known as TJHSST. I have many passions and interests, academic wise and more. On the STEM side, I am passionate about Biology and Chemistry, as well as biomedical studies and machinery. This is because these subjects are complex and enjoyable. I have interests in many other activities, such as chess, tennis (which I competitively play), and boxing. As I progress, I would like to attend college or university and get a bachelor’s degree while pursuing the pre-medical path. After this, I will likely attend medical school in order to obtain a Medical Degree and become a physician, as I very much interested in this field and its dynamic nature.
